It is wrong to say, "Conservatives are evil." It is right to say, "White supremacy is evil." It is incumbent on everyone to see the difference. If you see Biden's criticism of white supremacy as a personal attack, that's on you.

Can't read the link. I'm not a subscriber.

Agreeing with 'white supremacy is evil' is easy for me. Trusting people who believe that white people are eminently disposed toward enslaving other races to identify racism in any particular individual is another matter. yet this belief is being promoted by the NYT and others.

Biden pledged to unify the country after the tumultuous years of the Trump presidency, and Democrats are vowing to use their first unified government in more than a decade to enact a "bold" agenda.

In case it isn't obvious, you can't have both "unity" and a "bold agenda" in America as it actually exists today. Idiots.

Yeah, that doesn't bode well.....

It takes so little to be above average.

Actually, you can. Very high percentages of Americans support Biden's "bold" agenda. He won by a very wide margin. Americans want to fight climate change, invest in green infrastructure and education, have accessible health care and gun reform.

It's just a few noisy billionaires funding the NRA, Parler, and QAnon because they don't want to pay taxes and are hiding behind "taking your guns" and white supremacy to keep a grip on the tax system. The whole gay marriage thing stopped being a red meat vote driver and they needed a new one.

I don't think you're being sincere, but I'll pretend that you are in order to point out that Americans "support" progressive ideas right up until the moment a bill is assembled, after which they rightly recoil from the cost, the waste, the social engineering, and the obligatory sops to various identity constituencies. For examples of this phenomenon, see every major progressive bill of the last twenty-five years.

Also, polling is shite, like most social science, and no one actually knows what Americans believe, least of all Joe Biden and his minders.

Saying many people support investing in green infrastructure is not the same as saying many support something specific like the Green New Deal, which was definitely "bold". Policies that will get broad support won't be written by the extreme progressives.
