I think we have a technology thread, but I can't find it.

I bought a USB superdrive from Apple to connect to my early 2015 MacBook Air.  It just ejects any DVD I insert.  Do I need another cable?

Do you need to download a driver file for the DVD player so your computer can recognize it/know what to do with it?

I know they're supposed to just upload from the cloud or internet on first use, but sometimes they don't.

At least, I'd check that first....

Good luck!

Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.

Reprove not a scorner, lest they hate thee: rebuke the wise, and they will love thee.

Give instruction to the wise, and they will be yet wiser: teach the just, and they will increase in learning.

From what I can gather, no driver file needed.
