When times are hard, and the the situation is overwhelming, Please come here for your
FREE HUG!
Hugs all around!
Feel better and reassured here!
There's no such thing as a free hug! :-)
Best of luck to all.
Everyone here smells like clean laundry with just a whiff of coffee and almond.
Despite everyone's six-pack abs and rock-hard biceps, the hugs are all soft and pillowy.
And somehow we've all mastered the art of a squeeze and release, which is long enough to be comforting and not so long as to be awkward.
This is a good space.
I'll take you up on that hug and happily return it! With appropriate social distancing, of course.
Have a mug of cocoa and a still-warm-from-the-oven cookie, just like your favorite great aunt always offered when you'd had a bad day as a child.
In a pinch, grab a six-pack of TP and hug the soft rolls.
But please don't squeeze the Charmin!
: )
Here in the Southern USA, elderly female relatives give the "squeeze and grunt" -type hug.
It's what my mother gave me during our most recent visit in which we could come inside the house and actually touch my parents.
That was a couple of weeks ago. I'm now treasuring the memory.
So, before I get dangerously maudlin, HUGS ALL AROUND to all here!
(Everyone feels so comfy. What's up with that? Is it the abs-'n'-biceps mentioned upthread or the extra padding I suspect is closer to reality? <grin>)
I like a hug that crescendos to a light squeeze and then ends with a pat on the back.
So here...
Hug.
Light squeeze!
Pat.
Now back to social distancing.
