Good morning!

Got to a bit past genius with the pangram.  Yesterday I had quite a few left by the time we compared, including arthropod.  We needed bee buddy for paratha.

For LB I had harbor-ridgeways.  Lots of variety! Congrats, ciao_yall and cathwen (and another for today)!

Cathwen, wishing you a wonderful, safe adventure! I hope this general area is good to you and that you enjoy yourselves thoroughly! Will we be seeing you around? Either way, can't wait to hear about your trip.

Happy solving!

Langue_doc

Good morning!

QB. Needed BB for anthropod. I've seen paratha before, so that was a lucky guess.

Safe and exciting adventures, cathwen.

Happy solving!

Good morning!

QB--needed BB for the last word. Also BB yesterday for cichlid.

blowouts/sinkable

Happy solving!

ETA:twofer!

Good morning!

Got the pangram and finally made it to genius.  We had team QB, but I only contributed two words because I totally ran out of time yesterday and then just could not see a bunch of easy ones.

For LB I finally got bowlines-stakeout.  I am also claiming credit for blowouts-stankiest, even though LB apparently does not think that the latter is a real word.  Congrats, Langue_doc, and on another today!

Happy solving!

ciao_yall

Morning!

QBwH for cichlid and a few other oddballs I had overlooked. LB outwits-sinkable.

Happy solving!

Would skankiest have worked?

I don't think I tried that! But looking at the screenshot, I think it would have worked, letter-wise! Darn it! Let's consider that another yes unless we hear otherwise.

Congrats on yours as well, ciao_yall!

Good afternoon!

QBwH yesterday to find leeched and cichlid, which I would never have found without help. Today I am at genius with the pangram; not sure if I'll finish today, though.

LB: blowouts-skankiest. That was kind of a gamble—-I wasn't sure if skankiest would be accepted—but it was.  Langue_doc, that's odd that it rejected it for you! I have a 2fer today also.

The trip started unpropitiously (four-hour ice-cold airplane ride, rental car snafu, food poisoning that got me up in the middle of the night), but all is well now. The motel is clean and comfortable, we like the car, and we've had a good visit with my brother-in-law and family and will go back for dinner this evening.

Happy puzzling!

Good morning!

QB. Last word yesterday was falloff.

handles/scorpion

I wasn't too impressed with the categories for Connections as I didn't think one of them was correct--will post details tomorrow.

cathwen, sorry to hear about your travel woes. Now that the travel gods have been appeased/propitiated, your trip should be smooth and uneventful. As for skankiest, I thought of it when I saw ab_grp's stankiest attempt.

Happy solving!

Good morning!

Got to past genius with the pangram so far.  Yesterday we had team QB again.  I was missing airfoil (again), and husband was missing foofaraw, which he just asked about the other day.

No luck on LB! Congrats, Langue_doc!

I apparently forgot to finish the crossword yesterday and also forgot to do Wordle entirely! So much for those streaks, I guess.  I took a quick look at Connections earlier but will try to solve it and am interested to hear Langue_doc's thoughts tomorrow.

Cathwen, I am so sorry to hear about your cold trip out and food poisoning! I agree, I think any fairness would say you've paid your travel dues and more and should have no further issues.

Happy solving!

ab_grp, you can still complete the crossword and not lose your streak. I think you get a 24 hour extension--I've completed crosswords the following day, and not lost my streaks which are usually between 7-15!

cathwen, I was just talking to someone who had a long international travel on two very cold planes.

Good morning!

We got home late from a visit with family, so I hastily used BeeBuddy to find flail, afar, waif, foofaraw, which was my last word—and I had to look up its spelling. Today I am past genius with the pangram.

LB: I had codicils-sharpen. I have a 2fer today.

The visit with family was good. More today! The entire Colorado clan is going to a Chinese restaurant tonight—there will be 18 of us. It will be fun to see nephews and nieces and great-nephews and great-nieces whom we haven't seen in years. Normally, I don't like large gatherings, but I like all these people and am looking forward to seeing them again.

No more travel snafus, although we had a heart-stopping moment when my husband thought he had dropped his glasses in a downtown Boulder parking garage. Nope! They were in the car. They had dropped down between the seat and the door. So, all is well!

Happy puzzling!

ab_grp

Langue_doc, thank you!! I was still going to try to solve it but wouldn't necessarily have gotten back to it within the grace period.  I just finished it and appear to still have that streak.  Yay! Thanks! I wish Wordle were a little more forgiving.  I don't know what the heck I was doing yesterday morning that kept me from getting to it while we were outside bird watching with our coffee.

Cathwen, ooh I'm glad your husband found his glasses in the car! That would be a panic.  Sounds like a big hooha this evening, and I hope you have a wonderful time! Congrats on your 2fers yesterday and today, too!

ciao_yall

Morning!

QBwSBB for falloff. LB condolences-sharpie.

Happy solving!

ab_grp

Got a 2fer!

Ciao_yall, congrats on an additional 2fer solution for yesterday's!
