Who's Selling Academic Content? Any Experience or Stories?

I've considered selling video content relevant to my academic field, possibly in packages related to industry license exam prep or general knowledge for the non-professional. I'm curious how many of you have sold content related to your academic field and if you used a general site to do so or have your own site/branding. If the latter, did you build it ground up or use some type of template to drop in the courses with pricing/options? Do you know anyone in your field that's finding this lucrative? What is differentiating them from the free stuff?
