Unfortunately, I'm on tight deadline for the next weekish and there's a planned holiday trip. I'll be back on probably Friday and then out again until probably Wednesday.
Carry on!
<moves the marker back to in>
I would hate to not be evacuated if we have a fire since my office is not on the sweep path to the exit.
Welcome back!
I was pleased to see this board made it to the new digs.

<moves marker to Out>
I will be away from my computer until probably late Sunday/early Monday. That's a couple days for those who want to make a run for most postiest forumite.
You're safe.
I'll be in the 18th c. tomorrow.
M.
Gives me a chance to catch up.

<Moving marker to "out.">
If anyone is looking for me, I'll be in 1773.
Back Sunday.
M.
Moving the marker to In.
I'm around and reading, but I don't have time to post this morning.
<moves marker to In>
Back in the office today after a week of vacation and a prior week helping to facilitate a writing retreat.
<Why does everything feel like I've just strapped in on a hellaciously fast roller coaster ride??>
I'm back.
Welcome back, Paultuttle and Polly!
M.
Heading out. Taking a long weekend to visit my mom and indulge in girl time. The sewing machine is packed and ready to go.
Bon voyage!
M.
It's after 5:00 on a Friday so I'm officially "Out" until Monday morning!
I'll be away until Sat PM.
Don't let the 21st c. do anything we'd be ashamed of in the 18th.
M.
Back via a stopover in the 1930s-40s.
I didn't think I'd feel like going dancing after tours, but I did!
M.
I'm back.
Most of the weekend we spent in the basement sewing. I got nothing expect one pillow finished, but tons of stuff is cut out and in progress. We had a blast and i feel recharged. Mom also kept me fed in favorite foots: corn chowder, homemade chocolate pie, soft raisin cookies... I must have gained 20 lbs and I enjoyed every bite. Finished Pillow (https://i847.photobucket.com/albums/ab37/BioteacherCHE/IMG_0781_zpsbm44v7tr.jpg)

Wow!!!
Like!!
M.
Thanks. It was just a fantastic weekend. I want to go back and do it again immediately.
Checking out of 2019 until 7 PM tomorrow.
If I disappear, it's because staying in 1773 is more appealing right now.
M.
I'm out for the long weekend.
Envy my fabulous plans to play board games and eat corn on the cob until we're sick!
I forgot to check out, but I'm back. Lovely last day for tours, plus a probable school visit invite and a possible mid-week discussion with a woman who spouse is hospitalized nearby for the next week.
The school thing was really cool. A bilingual Fracophone/anglophone child and his mom returned because he'd decided he wanted to make the quill-pen-writing, sheep's wool card-and-spin activities, and needlework/crocheting projects his choice for "what he did over the summer," as an essay, or something.
Then his mom asked if these things could be done in groups (yes, I've set up tables for Scouts doing badges in history and frafts, library programs, etc.) So, that may be fun, too!
Anyway, back to 2019.
M.
I have deadlines, so my writing time for the next few days is going towards research, not these fora. I'll be back next week.
I'm going on travel to remote places without internet access. I'll be back Fridayish.
I'm out for a holiday weekend.
I'm back...although I forgot to check out!
Next disappearance c. 12.15.19....watch for it!
;--}
M.
I'm out on travel away from my computer until probably Saturday.
I'm out again for Thanksgiving.
Safe travels, everyone!
<moves marker to out>
I have to get work-related writing done this week so I'm scaling way back on what I'm reading so I'm not tempted to respond.
Stay safe and healthy!
I've got work piled up for a new class, so I'll be checking PMs but otherwise not here for a bit.

I've lurked a couple times and posted twice, but I'm moving my marker back to "Out" again.
One article in good final draft shape and sent out to the friend-editor who requested it, next already in framing-up shape and the class is doing well but does take a lot of focused attention!
So, back in a bit!
M.
Well, apparently I forgot to check back "in" last time, but I need to be focused on finishing several things in the next week, so I'm moving my marker to "out" until at least Tuesday!
See you then!!
(I'll still reply to PMs)

I am being redeployed in my job to address immediate science needs and make science-based recommendations as a state-declared essential worker. This is not for Covid directly, but that's not the only problem in the US/world right now.
That's likely 2-3 months of all my good mental time and energy. I'll probably check in multiple times a week, but all the long, detailed research posts here that take hours to write are on hold indefinitely.
Stay home, wear your mask for the medically necessary errands and obtaining groceries that can't be delivered, and wash your hands effectively and often.
We'll miss you, but good luck with your work.
All good thoughts--M.
Our internet provider has a local outage and still working on it. It's good to be back!

Yes, we wish you well with your work.
Good luck and good times, Polly!
Local internet service outage again for Verizon this week. :(
Glad it's not the impending hurricane....

We end up getting all the rain in the DC area post-hurricane.
