As someone without kids, I think about what life will be like in my 70s and later. Like just about everyone else, I don't want to move to a place where it is all just old people. In principle I like the idea of being around younger people and even being auditing some classes. Apparently some colleges are making this a thing.

I think young people prefer to be around fellow young folks. Now, aside from living actually on campus. there seems to be a trend for non-students to flock to the college towns. Along with that comes problems of gentrification and loss of affordable housing close to campus.
