Is it something that you do through the media?

I just sent a pitch to The Conversation Canada to publish an article on my doctoral thesis' topic following an event that I have attended that was directly in link with my research. (I have been published in the media before and have given interviews, and I really believe that it's important for researchers to engage with the media to reach a wider audience and for the public good.)

What do you think?

The Conversation Canada seems like an ideal outlet for sharing with the public the work coming out of the universities. Their editors probably know how to handle academics far better than the national newspapers and CBC.

My op-ed is going to be published today or tomorrow. I am nervous to make my writing public (even though is isn't the first time I write op-eds...)
