Right. So, on to the translation today. I doubt I'll have a chance to write much, but there's some reading/hunting I can do. But also a pile of marking.

Only managed to write a tiny bit, and got nothing else done.

Some writing, some reading for the translation intro.

I realized I dropped off the face of the earth because I forgot to login for a month!

From September Goals:

• Draft first chapter of the book manuscript
• Prepare presentation for October on book topics
• If book chapter proposal is accepted, work on chapter draft with coauthor

The proposal got accepted, so the shared drive is set up with my coauthor.
I am working on the book chapters and presentation (which was supposed to be tomorrow but got moved to next week fortunately).

I got a R&R with the same colleague I wrote the chapter proposal with so I am going to work on edits soon.

I made great progress today on book project #2. It is in my colleague's hands for the moment, but at this point we have a realistic possibility of getting the proposal and chapter 1 off to the publisher by the end of the month.

I also did a little work on the book chapter, which will be more of a priority in November.

Well, I only ended up marking one paper. But I tracked down a source that was incredibly difficult to find, and wrote ~500 words. So that's something.

I'd like to finish marking this batch of essays, and read the thing I tracked down yesterday.

Working on the intro today. Time is short, but I should be able to get a historical figure or two worked in.

The materials for book project 2 is now off to the publisher.

For the most part I have accomplished my October goals, except for paper #1, which I must get to in November.
