I use the free version of Malwarebytes, but I'm not sure if it's necessary if you use common sense. It hasn't caught anything in the 5+ years I've been using it.

That was the recommendation I got from my school’s IT folks, and like permanent imposter, I’ve also had no issues. I also avoid using any public wifi.
