What are your goals for May?

I'm hoping to make progress on the following in May:

  • Book project #1 - draft chapter 2
  • Book project #2 with colleague - update proposal and submit it with chapter 1 to interested editor (ball is in colleague's court)
  • Paper #1 with colleagues - finish and submit to journal
  • Paper #2 with colleague - finish and submit to journal (ball is in colleague's court)
  • Paper #3 with colleague - it would be nice to get the ball rolling on this, but it is lowest priority

I have an invited contribution to write for June, and more progress to make on my translation. And that's it! Whew. Finally a month with a low workload!

Today, just my translation quota, I think.
I know it's a genus.

I became quite the multitasker today. I submitted a manuscript review that I thought I would not get to until Thursday. Yay!

Just translating today, probably.

Just translating today, probably.

Tripled my quota and wrote 400 words of the June paper. Tired now.
I know it's a genus.

Parasaurolophus

Just translating again today. Anything more is a bonus.

Translating, plus some writing if I can work up the energy.

Translating, plus some writing if I can work up the energy.

Doubled my quota, and did a tiny bit of writing that led to finding several useful sources and reading two of them.
I know it's a genus.

I never intend to add more to my plate, but a call for chapter proposals came out today that might provide me the opportunity to write with my spouse for the first time! Hu is not a researcher or an academic, but is an expert in the topic. Hu seemed willing to entertain the idea, and luckily the submissions only need to be an abstract initially!

Parasaurolophus

Go for it!

Just translating my quota today.
I know it's a genus.

Just translating my quota today.

Exceeded it nicely. I might possibly be done by the end of the month, if I push it. That'd be nice.
I know it's a genus.

I completed the second review late last night, much to my surprise (I had a motivation to complete something on my to do list).
