1) I agree that it is unacceptable to do this, but

2) how can he be punished when the other prof explicitly permitted this, and

3) what if he shows you the copy submitted to other prof, and other prof did in fact give the paper an A?

Went birding this afternoon and was rewarded by the sight of dolphins in the ocean, one of them quite close to the shore. Saw a black vulture, several ospreys, one flying overhead carrying a fish, another sitting on a low perch by the shore eating a large fish, and several purple martins flying in and out of the martin houses that the preserve had built for them.

Night! Made it to genius today and also yesterday.

Exactly. Leaving after commencement could be seen as hypocritical, but I don't think the critical thinking even went that deep. There is no obtainable goal, no path for reaching any goal, and counterproductive tactics for any hope of influence. Somehow it seems appropriate if the whole thing ends quietly and unresolved because the semester is over and everyone is off to their summer thing.

Same here, as well as in my syllabus. Presumably it's also part of the first-year writing program's policies as well. My guess is that the student asked permission from the prof he knew would let it slide. And (not that it matters, given the policies), but he did submit his ENG102 essay first -- early April. But that's because my (much more specific) project contained a number of benchmark days and other scaffolding. So student would on my project for about seven weeks total, and he saw the opportunity to double dip.

I suspect that I'm going to get a "but Mr. 102 gave that paper an A so you should give me one too" email next.

Most of them won't be around after.

Good morning/afternoon!

Got to a bit past genius with pangram so far.  Yesterday we needed bee buddy help with adept, heptad, teapot, I think.  I also had hothead but not hotheaded, and I even went through my list looking for pairs missing an item.  I have to just remember to always try it.

No luck on LB.  Closest I got was telework.  Congrats! And congrats on another today, cathwen!
