Tips/samples on NSF report

Hi Folks,
Any suggestions/tips on how to write a good NSF report? I am preparing an NSF report for the first time, and not sure how many details I should put into the Accomplishments section. Each section limits 8000 characters but it seems I can only fill up the box using 2000~3000 characters. Does that mean I need to put more details or is that fine? Any experiences and suggestions? Thanks!

I think that's about how much I have written in the past.  In one particularly productive year, I think I got close to the 8000 character limit in one of the four boxes, but that was an exception.  The program director has always approved my reports without comment.
