Afternoon!

Pangrams and genius before leaving for my walk this morning. Last word yesterday was wend, which I thought I had entered along with its past tense form.

causing/growth

QuoteI started out the day with two different shoes on so am hoping things improve.
Oh, dear!

I was lingering in one of the areas frequented by birds in the birding hotspot when I came across a small group of people with binoculars. This was an extension of their early morning bird walk, so decided to stroll along with them especially because I know the leader of the walk. As we were sitting down on some logs, a few other birders, also familiar to me and the bird walk leader happened upon us one at a time. We had interesting conversations, some of them related to birds. It's funny how someone tells you that they saw you on such-and-such a walk, and remind you of an incident or conversation from that walk.

Happy solving!

Good afternoon!

QBABM again yesterday—last word nohow. Today I have one word to go, so I'm hoping for another QBABM...but we'll see.

LB: I had watching-grousing. No 2fer today so far.

I hope things have improved after the shoe incident, ab_grp! Langue_doc, whenever my husband and I walk one particular trail, we often run into people who like to chat about the birds they've seen. Also other wildlife—a bobcat supposedly appears from time to time, but we've never been lucky (?) enough to see it.

Happy puzzling, walking, birding, hiking, etc.!

Good morning!

QB--all familiar words. Last word yesterday was galling.

Couldn't find a mate for chivalry, so gave up on LB.

Happy solving!

Good morning!

Got to genius with the pangram so far.  Congrats on your QBABY, Langue_doc!! Yesterday we had team QB, but I needed a couple words like gangland, hangnail.  I think I got all of the harder words!

Got a 2fer this morning! No luck yesterday, though I did have eyeful at one point.  My prime contender was vehicularly, but I couldn't get any mates from that or from removing the -ly.

Hopefully this 2fer and having the same shoes on my feet will bode well today.  I did get better sleep, so that is probably part of it.

It's neat that you ran into some previous acquaintances, Langue_doc.  I feel like I should make a "birds of a feather" joke but will refrain.

Happy solving!

Good morning!

QB yesterday with galangal as my last word, thanks to my Bee list. Today I'm a bit beyond genius with the pangram.

LB: No solution yesterday! I had eyeful, but did not see overachieve. I found a 2fer today, though.

Ab_grp, I hope that the 2fer and having the same shoes on your feet mark the beginning of a good day!

Happy puzzling!

Morning!

QB-1 ABM, then needed the 2LL for inhaling. LB got as far as archival-louche-eyeful then got a hint to find overachieve-eyeful.

At QB-3 and a quick 2fer so far today. Let's see how far I can get ABM and which easy word trips me up...

Happy solving!

Thanks! Much more productive day, and I managed to get to QBABM! Congrats on your 2fer!

Good morning!

Genius, but no pangram. Last words yesterday were illy, aioli.

fictional/larked

I have a twofer today, which just jumped out at me.

Happy solving!

Good morning!

Got the pangram but not yet to genius.  Yesterday I think my final word was something like load.  I had a couple easy 4s at the end.

For LB I had relocked-defiants.  Congrats on your 2fers yesterday and today, Langue_doc!

Happy solving!

ciao_yall

Morning!

QB-2 ABM then looked at the 2LL to realize I was missing loyal, loyally. LB fictional-larked.

GwP and 2fer today. Maybe I won't get impatient and achieve QBABM?

Happy solving!

Good afternoon!

QB yesterday with help for dahlia (which I thought I had already), daylily, and aioli, my last word.

Today I have five words to go, but may resort to SBB because I have a lot to do today and may run out of time.

LB: I had deferential-lock and fictional-larked. I have a 2fer today also.

Happy puzzling!

ab_grp

Got a 2fer! Congrats on your 2fers yesterday and today, ciao_yall and cathwen!

I still have 8 or so words left on the bee, though.  This one is tough for me!

Langue_doc

Good morning!

Pangram and genius. I'll have to resort to BB today as I won't have much time for puzzling.

Last words yesterday were teenage, teenaged, thanks to BB.

chomps/strongbox--that seemed to be the only solution given the letters in the puzzle.

Happy solving!

Good morning!

QBwBBH to find gnat, gâteau, and gadget,my last word. Today I have four words to go, but may need help later if I run out of time. (Lots to do today!)

LB: I also had chomps-strongbox.

I'm getting ready for a visit tomorrow from an old friend from grad school—we haven't seen each other since before the pandemic, which explains "lots to do today." Really looking forward to it—-even if it does cut into my puzzle time!

Happy puzzling!

ab_grp

Good morning!

Got to genius with the pangram so far.  Yesterday we needed bee buddy for teenage(d), gadget

Got the same LB solution.  I agree, it's probably the only one but would be interested to hear if there are others!

Good luck with your visit preparations, cathwen! That's exciting to look forward to!

Happy solving!
