I love this weather!

I am continually impressed by WTOP. "Just the facts, ma'am, just the facts." Wish they'd do national and international economic and political news, too.

We got just the lightest touch of frost overnight.  Frost outside the three winter months has become exceedingly rare here, and uncommon even then.  It was nice to feel such bracing, seasonable weather.  Although one of our staff members will probably be complaining bitterly today about the terrible, terrible cold.  To hear her talk every winter, you'd think we lived in Michigan.
If in this life only we had hope of Christ, we would be the most pathetic of them all.  But now is Christ raised from the dead, the first of those who slept.  First Christ, then afterward those who belong to Christ when he comes.

Awesome!

I checked out the home page more thoroughly. It seems WTOP is good at reporting facts about everything! The page is now on my regular news collection.

Thank you so much.

Rain all day into the overnight hours.

Yes! A tad of snow expected. I love this weather.

Saturday our town's planned Christmas festival was postponed for a week due to hair-raising forecasts of extreme weather.  The extreme weather not only missed us (it went north and afflicted Tennessee instead), we didn't get any rain at all right there in town.  It actually would have been a perfect day for the event.

Oh, well.  The organizers made a difficult judgement call in good faith.  Now the extended forecast calls for rain on the alternative date, this coming Saturday!  If we are able to hold the event, we'll probably have almost no food vendors available, since they'll mostly be committed to being elsewhere that day.

Meanwhile, beautifully clear, with the first truly frosty morning we've seen so far this season.

A disappointment.  So much for the "Major Storm," at least within sight of my house.  I slept well.

Absolute downpours yesterday.  We went to a local tree decorating exhibit.  The local has 4 parking lots.  One is paved, the other 3 are gravel/mud depending on the weather.  Guess which one was the closed lot.

We had the 1st snowfall of the season in the metro Baltimore/DC area overnight.

The extended forecast calls for highs in the upper 60s and even breaking 70 through Christmas Day.  As the state's weather forecasters have put it, a white Christmas just isn't going to happen anywhere in the state.  I've seen perhaps two in my lifetime, and it seems highly unlikely I'll ever see another one.  Maybe we'll at least get some needed rain in the next few days.

It's unusually rainy and foggy here today.

We ended up having a chilly, overcast, damp Christmas.  Just like the ones we used to know!  A good day to spend the day mostly inside with family.  And this morning we had a real, honest-to-goodness frost, which was beautiful to see while driving back to the town where I live to go in to work today.

We had a light snow followed by rain here in the Baltimore/DC area today. Road treatment crews were out on Thursday.
I see there's snow forecasted for the New England region starting overnight Saturday and most of Sunday.

I woke up to 10 inches of snow and more coming down — perhaps another 4-5 inches still expected. I'll be getting my shoveling exercise!
