Only 55.  No cause yet.

I really enjoyed her on Worst Cooks in America.
She was on other cooking shows and I tended to root for her when she was a contestant.

Only 55!  damn.  Married only a few years.

Mick Ralphs.  Guitarist for 70's glam rock band Mott the Hoople and later the arena rock band Bad Company.

The heroes of my youth are dying off.

Bobby Sherman, whose pictures from Tiger Beat and 16 adorned my walls all those years ago. (Yes, I was a contrarian even then: all the girls in my school were David Cassidy and Donny Osmond fans.)

QuoteBill Moyers, Presidential Aide and Veteran of Public TV, Dies at 91
Before becoming known as an unusual breed of television correspondent and commentator, he had a long association with President Lyndon B. Johnson.

QuoteBill Moyers, eminence of public affairs broadcasting, dies at 91
Moyers, who was White House press secretary under Lyndon B. Johnson before becoming an acclaimed TV journalist, was mainly associated with PBS, and although he frequently explored societal ills, he was happier speaking with poets and philosophers than he was with pollsters or politicians.

I thin we missed it, but when Brian Wilson died Sly Stone did also. He was, however troubled, a pioneer in his field. You can catch another excellent Questlove documentary on his life.

One of his daughters remarked that he was living much like any other old Black man in LA, loving bbq and cars. I want to a Family Stone concert in Bloomington IN years ago (early 70s) and of the many rock bands I saw live it was flat out the best concert.

I loved Moyers' documentary about Florence, and his interviews with Joseph Campbell in the Power of Myth series.
