I grew up watching the show as a kid and remember their signature sign off at the end:
"Good night, Robin."
"Good night, Jim."
I once interviewed him on the radio. A very intelligent, nice man, with a sense of honesty, honor and justice in journalism.
We need him now.

Not to detract from all they both contributed, but I think the "Good night" sequence started earlier, possibly with Chet Huntley and David Brinkley?
Or I might have the chronology wrong...
