Title: Bloomberg for President?
Post by: clean on November 09, 2019, 02:14:28 PM
Mayor Bloomberg has made some news about preparing to qualify for some upcoming elections.

Is he a viable candidate?  Will Democrats support a billionaire?  Does it take one billionaire to challenge another (self purported) billionaire?  Will he release HIS tax returns?

Im not particularly  paying attention to politics. From the current crop, I tend to support Warren more than the others, but her recent policy propositions are likely to go nowhere and are certainly not conducive to another billionaire entering the crowd (or perhaps the reason one would join!).  Especially if control of the Senate remains in Republican hands there isnt much that she can get passed of her major changes (and that may be the best thing.... continued inability to get anything passed is argument people use to keep the government at bay).  However, presidents seem to bypass a lot of congress with executive orders.

The last time I was looking at Democratic candidates, Kasich was interesting, but he isnt running this time (so far anyway!!)

Any thoughts on Bloomberg?

Elizabeth Warren is the Democrats' Ted Cruz.  Bloomberg is their Jeb Bush.  And it's not a Jeb Bush year.
