Today I need to do some editing for the subfield association's newsletter, so I'm unlikely to achieve much else, research-wise. But I can hope for a little work on the new book section!
I know it's a genus.

I forgot to include an author bio for a forthcoming publication.

Author bios seem so trivial compared to the content of the paper, but for editors, they seem to be just as important, at least at this stage in the game.

I hate providing bios. Ugh. Surely nobody reads them, either, since we all read the articles in PDF form.

Almost done with the refereeing--four more to go, probably tomorrow. I even put some work into the Newsletter.
I know it's a genus.

Wahoo Redux

I have two revise-and-resubmits but I cannot get out from under my to-grade pile.  One is due in May and the other has no formal due date but the staff does not work over the summer.  It's depressing me a bit.
Come, fill the Cup, and in the fire of Spring
Your Winter-garment of Repentance fling:
The Bird of Time has but a little way
To flutter--and the Bird is on the Wing.

Parasaurolophus

I'll finish the refereeing today, and maybe get some work done on the next book section if time and marking allow.
I know it's a genus.

I have been absent unintentionally from here, but am on grading overdrive apparently. I got a proof of one of the forthcoming articles on Friday, and the publisher wrote "Dear LastName" and then wrote the wrong title of the article in the email, so I am not optimistic about their work. The proof had my co-author's name wrong and affiliated hu with my institution, which is also incorrect. It seemed that every line had a word broken up by a hyphen and put partially onto the next line, so no one will want to read this. Oh well.

Since I finally received the formerly rejected manuscript to be reworked for a different journal last week by my two secretive co-authors who are meeting without me, I have to work on that today. I am also starting to work on another new project this week with a friend for a special issue due in June.

Parasaurolophus

Forgot to update my success yesterday.

Gotsta mark all day today, but I'll make a little time for the book section and to email co-author 3 about our project.
I know it's a genus.

Yesterday I finished my edits on our revision and submitted it back to my co-authors. Today I took it easy and did not do anything work-related except respond to emails and zoom with doctoral students tonight. Instead, I volunteered at the vaccine clinic. It was a nice break.
