I grew up watching the show as a kid and remember their signature sign off at the end:
"Good night, Robin."
"Good night, Jim."

I once interviewed him on the radio. A very intelligent, nice man, with a sense of honesty, honor and justice in journalism.

Not to detract from all they both contributed, but I think the "Good night" sequence started earlier, possibly with Chet Huntley and David Brinkley?

Or I might have the chronology wrong...

But still, yes.

A loss.

Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.

Reprove not a scorner, lest they hate thee: rebuke the wise, and they will love thee.

Give instruction to the wise, and they will be yet wiser: teach the just, and they will increase in learning.
