  • Revision got accepted today! So I have two articles in press and two under review, yahoo!

Woohoo! Congratulations!

For my part, it's unlikely I'll get anything done today, research-wise, before watching the travesty of a debate. So: everything's riding on tomorrow!
I know it's a genus.

For me:

  • Revise paper with coauthors and get it ready to submit (rejected a week or two ago from a top journal, moving on to another very good journal)
  • Work on revisions for coauthored paper (received invitation to R&R a week or so ago from a very good journal - brutal comments, but I guess the editor sees hope for the manuscript, so I am also hopeful)
  • Get ball rolling on ambitious data collection project, which will contribute to article I'm working on and will, hopefully, become a key data source for scholars in my area
  • Resubmit book chapter with edits and additions to appease editor
  • Submit IRB for project with coauthors
  • Turn around conditionally accepted article

Did a little work on the R&R, mostly just charting out how to address comments.  This will be priority in October and November.

Kwell, there's nothing for it. Gotta finish October R&R and Book Proposal Revision today.

Finished and sent the R&R, but the proposal was a bridge too far. I'm gonna give myself until the end of Friday for that, because it needs some fine-grained attention to detail that I don't have the energy or the time to give it right now (I spent a goodly chunk of the day restructuring things, though, and that helps a lot!).
I know it's a genus.

If I'm lucky, I can finish the proposal today. If not, I'll sneak in a few more days.

Didn't finish, but did some Herculean reorganizing and touching up! I should have it ready by Monday, I think.

Checking in - I am attending a virtual conference right now that was supposed to be in a very nice island location in the alternate universe we used to have. Yesterday before it started I worked on the manuscript with my subfield colleague a little. I am also working on paper 2 from the rejected one with my co-author a little bit each day as well. I am still trying to wrangle my many colleagues on the grant project manuscript unsuccessfully. Not much to report this week, so I will stop being boring.
