Thanks for noticing! I'm back with 26 short-ish portfolios to read skim grade high and fast. Can't get around it, can't go over it, must go through it.

Time to pull out the "grade until it matters"

For the first time ever, I haven't gotten a single complaint about grades.

Probably means I inflated the grades too much.

No grade complaints in the courses in our program that I teach. Far too many in the first-year "gateway" course that I teach that is open to all students, regardless of program.

Spring semester started first week of May. Didn't realize I'd have 200+ students registered. 30/203 assignments left to grade for assignment 1 (my fall/winter courses are 25 students at most, so wasn't prepared for these numbers). No TA support. Will not do this again if I have to teach in spring or summer.

Yikes!  Can you ask for a grader?  Automate any of it? Give credit for submission?

Talk to your chair--you absolutely need a TA.

I've asked TAs to finish putting in discussion grades no later than next Monday.  We shall see if they can make the deadline.
