There will always be ways for the high-and-mighty to get what they want.  Legacy admits are simply one more example in the pot.

There are degrees of "legacy" that really play in here. Having one parent, or an uncle etc. who attended is not much of a boost for the average applicant. When people think legacies, they generally are thinking of the Bush type legacy where there is a line of multiple generations who attended.  The money donated also plays a huge role. Is there a building names after a relative? If so you are the kind of legacy that this bill targets.
    I don't think this bill is really aimed at the average child of an alum who gave $100 a year in annual giving.
