For those in depts that are admitting PhD students: are you doing an in-person or virtual open house this year?

Puget

We are doing an in person interview day like usual, after being virtual last year. Cases here are back to summer levels, so it feels very safe.

At my university its all over the map.  My official department open house is on Zoom but my subfield is inviting people for a 1 day on campus visit.  I work in an experimental science so seeing the lab is essential.  Almost 100% of our admitted students plan to come.

Our university is having a fully in-person visit for the high school seniors admitted to the undergrad program.  They will presumably be staying in dorm rooms of current students, packing into the dining halls etc.  In contrast our small grad student visit will be "tame".

Our COVID policy is, "Pandemic? What pandemic?"

We are doing a hybrid open house, at least for general info sessions and other parts that can be done virtually.

We're doing both an in-person and a virtual open house, but at different times.
