Hello all,

I have a quick question. I submitted a supplement request sometime in February and yet to hear back from the NSF PD. I emailed him several times but no response! is this a sign that he isn't going to fund this request? He told me to submit the request and after that he has never responded to my emails (I sent 2-3 emails--the status of this supplement proposal is pending in Research.gov)? anyone was in the same situation before.

This is a supplement for grad students to work outside of academia (supposed to start their internship in summer!).

Thank you, folks.

In this case, I would contact the division director or any other contacts I can find for the supplement solicitation. While the most likely outcome is that the PD is just busy and doesn't have news, It is possible that the PD rotated out or is on extended leave or whatever.

Thank you, fizzycist and Ruralguy. I did call the PD and left voice message 2-3 times but no response back from him. It is VERY STRANGE. Not sure if contacting his boss/director would help, though!!!

Best.

I havenot yet heard back from the PD on this supplement request, so today I emailed the head of NSF division, I hope my email doesnot make the PD mad at me and he doensot shut down the door on me in the future...I am a bit nervous, I was very polite and respectful in my email, though.

Let's see if the head person ping them or not, 6-month waiting to hear about a supplement statues is really strange.

Thank you.
