Funeral by funeral, the academy advances

poiuy

PoiuyPooch1, who left us (with the vet's help) last Saturday at the venerable age of 17.5 years. A good old age even for a smallish dog.
She has left us heartbroken with big space, emotional, and energy voids everywhere. She was the best dog ever, the Platonic ideal of dog. Good looking, perfect size, so very well behaved, great personality, everything. She had been ailing for several months, and her body was finally done.

We all grew up / grew old together. I know her joyous energy is zinging around the Universe. I hope we keep encountering signs from her.

PoiuyPooch2 is our best friend now. He will hopefully have several more happy years with us. I doubt we will have the heart to get another dog and go through this again.

Chuck Woolery at 83.

I guess he won't be back in two-and-two.

I wish I could find a way to show people how much I love them, despite all my words and actions. ~ Maria Bamford

Hugs Poiuy!  It's heartbreaking to lose pets - death is such a non-negotiable finality.

Thank you so much @Sea_Ice.
It's been a rough year for me: mother and dog both gone, after very long and good lives, and this is inevitable, but still.

If you have animals, may they continue to bless you for many years to come.
