The student isn't my student, so it's not my problem - but I'm thinking "is this how they're expecting to make their way up?" By trashing big names in public? (yikes).

The students aren't thinking of social media as being public to the world.

The students are thinking of social media as being more like a group text to the handful of people they can picture as followers.

Thus, as has been seen on many a filmed show, the student is going to be shocked and surprised when it turns out the big wig was metaphorically in the next restroom stall/in the coffee line behind them/waiting at the elevator exit/just around the loud, echoey hallway corner/at the next lunch table.
