Has teaching students online affected your teaching methods?

I know it has mine. I found zoom meetings encourage more activity from some students not less. I had to make adjustments to the way I interac  and how Q & A components worked.

It's terrible writing, used to obfuscate the fact that the authors actually have nothing to say.

I can't really say because my first-time teaching ever was an online course. But for me, it went very well. I was able to keep most students' attention during my lectures. But I did not teach the online course the same way I'd teach in person. I made my lectures shorter (2 hours instead of three), invited multiple guest speakers, used online polls, small group discussions via Zoom, etc.

Definitely yes.  Easier for me, yes. Less time consuming for me, yes.

Academically and ethically, no.

I greatly look forward to returning to the full classroom educational experience when the pandemic is over.
