Anyone else attending?

It's all online, which I find even more useful, no running up and down hills and trying to find classrooms with funny signs....

AND many of the sessions are recorded and will be available for 2 weeks afterwards, AND the fees are much lower than in-person...so many good points to enjoy...

I've just attended the first session, No. 7, on various representations of martyrdom in Late Antiquity, which included both a very reasonable art history study and an unfortunate dance word-study that fell afoul of the usual rocks in the harbor of over-contextualization.

I hope I managed to convey my ideas while being positive overall; the second one was a bit harder to take: when someone has published a book that you know is totally WRONG in its basis and outlook...it's frustrating!!

Onwards and upwards, next session starts in 15 min....it's musicology (Session 27) for me.

Others?

I don't want to make this a one-person thread, so if no-one else posts, I'll stop; just wanted to say,

You missed the most excellent visual/musical presentation of FAUVEL I've ever seen.

Mary Springfels' musical group paired with Shawn Marie Keener's visuals was just stunning.

There will be a recorded copy available online; I think if one checks here:

OK, final post since no-one else seems to be attending.

This is the best 60.00 I've spent in a long time.

I've attended many sessions already, more to go; just got to see four early ivory carvings at the NY Met by online camera, with discussions, etc.

Refreshment and richness. I'm very grateful.

A la prochaine!

I'm attending, and have heard some really good papers, unlike last year, where a lot of them felt pretty slapdash. And I'm glad many sessions are recorded, since there are some work meetings this week that I can't skip. My one regret is that the exhibitors are more limited than in the past.

Glad to hear from you!

I'm squeezing in sessions in between students; two cancelled on Monday and Tuesday, so I got to spend both days almost straight-through in sessions.

I also saw a session by a very helpful person I hadn't seen in a few years and got to thank them.

I haven't tried any of the exhibits yet, so far there hasn't been an 'open session' where I didn't see something I wanted to attend.

But I'm sure one will turn up somewhere...
