Thoughts on current iteration of Brightspace?

Hello all,

I have a question about Brightspace, which I will be learning to use before Spring. I had looked it up here from some mostly older posts and gathered it wasn't terribly popular. I know these things get updated constantly and was wondering about the current consensus. Also, I have experience with Blackboard and Moodle and was wondering if forumites thought it was similar, better, or worse compared to those.

Thanks in advance!

Like many, I have endured the transition from Blackboard to Brightspace.  I don't like either platform.  I prefer Blackboard.  I'm not sure how much of that preference is because it's the one I used first.  I like the appearance of Blackboard better.  Haven't used Moodle.

The learning curve to switch to Brightspace wasn't as bad as I'd feared. Some of the terminology (e.g., "forums" vs "topics") is different from that of Blackboard.  Get ready to click multiple times to complete simple tasks.  Good luck!
