I had to give up on SB yesterday; missed filename, film, naïf. Today I am at genius with the pangram.

LB: No solution yesterday (tried mightily to get something to go with subzero), but I have a 2fer today.

I did enjoy the music festival, ab_grp, and getting there was half the fun! One of the other chorister spouses picked me up in a fire-engine red 1980 MG convertible. With a scarf around my head and sunglasses, I felt quite glamorous zooming along in a hot car!

And do enjoy your chat with your friend, ab_grp! Langue_doc, I'm glad that your disorganized bird walk was nevertheless satisfying!

Afternoon!

QB quite early this morning. Last word yesterday was demimonde.

I think I had a twofer, but can't remember the words.

I just had to take another look at the Van Gogh cypresses exhibit https://www.metmuseum.org/exhibitions/van-gogh-cypresses before it closes at the end of the week. Sad to say, there were a few unruly people--one of the people waiting in the non-member line for the entrance tickets butted into my members-only line demanding that she get a student discount and kept arguing with the person behind the counter who was scanning my card into the system. There was a similar negotiation going on at the adjacent counter by visitors who were clearly not students and who had no student ID. Later I was hit on the head with a water bottle, presumably by a disgruntled visitor who wanted to shovel her way in front of me. I was tempted to tell her that this would be considered a felony in our state and that there were cameras everywhere so she wouldn't be able to claim that she had accidentally let the bottle make contact with my head.

And thanks, Langue_doc, for sharing that article.  I look forward to reading it, though I'm sorry to hear about your experience.  I can't say that I would expect someone to be hit in the head with a water bottle at an art exhibit.  Should we be happy that people are apparently overexcited about art? (no) I would have a hard time keeping my temper in that whole situation, so my hat is off to you.  Hope your head is ok.

Genius with pangram this morning. Yesterday my last word was loot, which I had certainly seen earlier and must have neglected to enter.

LB: For some weird reason, vuvuzela popped into my head yesterday, so I had the "official" vuvuzela-anonymity. I have a 2fer today as well.

Langue_doc, your experience at the Met shocks me. There have always been boorish people trying to cut in line and/or claim discounts that they do not deserve, and that is certainly annoying; but hitting you on the head with a water bottle? That is truly beyond the pale. Ugh!

Pangram and genius. I don't think I'm going to find any more words today. Last word was teff, which I found by stringing together letters at random. I have a vague recollection of seeing this word several months ago.

Slogging along toward genius, but I do have the pangram.  Yesterday we also had trouble with teff and needed bee buddy for that and pfft.  I had forgotten pelf and a couple others.  Not sure how husband remembered that one.  It's been a while, I think!

For LB I had the schmofficial chivalrous-sex after trying vicarious-sexaholic which was not accepted! WTH.
