Good morning!

Pangram and genius so far. Yesterday my last word was also natality, and I needed a hint for dillydally, which I've gotten before but somehow did not see this time.

LB: I had the "official" bilk-knackwurst. No 2fer yet today.

Did anyone go out to see the supermoon last night? I did, but it didn't look any larger than a normal full moon. I see photos of huge, very orange moons and feel a little jealous! I guess I should be grateful that I saw the moon at all, because night skies here tend to be very cloudy.

Anyway...happy puzzling!

No luck on LB yet again! Congrats, Langue_doc! I'm pretty sure I even had turnbacks.  :-(

I have an appt mid-day so will be a little busy with that, but we did get to see the supermoon last night!

On preview: Sorry cathwen, I didn't see your post until now! Yes, we saw the supermoon and tried to take pics, but it just didn't work too well.  We even tried taking pics through a scope, but that was even worse and just looks like a pic of a lightbulb.  We are fortunate to be able to see giant moons fairly often here (more often than back east).  They rise over the mountains very slowly at first, just peeking over, and then it's like suddenly they're all there! Kind of crazy at times. 

And congrats on the schmofficial answer! That's a tough one.

Genius with all three pangrams this morning, but it took me a while to see them. QB yesterday with eggnog (which I always seem to miss) and honeymoon, both found with 2LL hints.

Pangram and genius. Last words yesterday were moil, moiled, which I recall weren't accepted about a year ago--I could be mistaken, but that was my recollection.

Got to genius with pangram but am now struggling.  Yesterday we needed bee buddy for moiled.  I don't recall that one being in there before, but am pretty sure moil has been.  Always try suffixes, I guess.

No luck on LB.  I had zodiac at least.  Man, I am failing lately! Congrats, cathwen, and on another today!

I meant to ask what folks who did the crossword that was a story a couple days ago (Wed Aug 30) thought of it.  I did not personally care for it, and I know there were a lot of comments in line with that, but others liked it.  It was clever, I guess, but the story didn't mean anything.  If it weren't basically just a set of filling in the blanks with words that could possibly fit and worked with the downs, maybe it would have been a bigger hit with me and with others.

QB w Grid, last word modem. LB lots of great words but no 2fer until I got a hint for kilohertz-zodiac. Also had a complete strikeout on Connections yesterday.

Solved Connections and a quick 2fer this morning so the world is back in place.

As for Connections, there have been a couple lately that I thought were more difficult.  The other day I had to actually cheat a bit.  I figured out what one of the categories was but had to look at a list of possibilities of that category to see which items could be part of that group because I had never heard of them.  I also figured out another cheat that could help if you get stuck and almost strike out.  I noticed that it doesn't seem to know what I'm doing on my phone and computer.  For the other puzzles that I use both devices on it can track my progress between devices, but I can use several tries on my phone for Connections and have a clean slate on my computer (or vice versa).  I have not tried on a different browser to see if that would add more tries.

QBw2LL, last words venue, venule. I did look at SBB but all it told me was that I was missing some ve- words so not sure I will count that as help. LB skylight-tromp.

Stuckity stuck on Wordle. 2 more tries but on a 56 win streak. Gah.
