And thank you very much for the job congrats, cathwen and ciao_yall! I have been pretty stressed trying to get everything done just setting stuff up and actually doing work.  It was a pretty serendipitous opportunity, so I am trying to make the most of it and give a good impression! Part of it is just getting a routine going and figuring out how to keep stress to a minimum.  The work is ever-changing, so I am not sure I will ever not feel like a noob.  Definitely some impostor syndrome occurring!

And thank you very much! Yes, I am doing another MS degree, one course per semester.  Luckily, this class is one with material I have already had some exposure to, so I am keeping up, and whatever I learn during the degree will be very helpful with the new work.  It's like repeating old patterns, working through grad school again, but at least no kids to raise this time! I am really excited about it all but get a little nervous about it at times.

cathwen, I've been meaning to ask how your hip's coming along.

Good afternoon!

QB yesterday with help from SBB to find ninja. QB today.

LB: No luck yesterday—then I looked at hints and found afterglow-whiz.

Thanks for asking about the hip, Langue_doc. I'm now walking with a cane (occasionally use the walker) and progressing well. The shoulder and hand still are somewhat painful, but improving. I have an occupational therapist and a physical therapist coming to my home—that will end after this week, then I go to outpatient therapy. I still have to observe the protocols about not bending, crossing legs, etc., for the next three months. I am not sure when I'll be able to drive again. In the meanwhile, my husband is taking great care of me (and he likes driving, so doesn't mind ferrying me around), and my East coast daughters have both been here to help out for my first and second weekends home. So I guess that things are going as well as they possibly could. I remain reasonably cheerful and optimistic.

Cathwen, I'm glad to hear that you are doing better, though I'm sure it is an adjustment.  I never thought about not being able to bend or cross your legs! I am guessing this puts a crimp in plenty of activities.  It is good that you are being well taken care of.  Best wishes for your continued recovery.
