Northeastern University and many other schools have punished students in various ways for "violating" Covid-19 policies. I think it is extremely hypocritical for schools that emphasize the "college experience" over a "college education" to punish people for partaking in the very "experience" advertised by these schools that was purchased at a price of several tens of thousands of dollars per year.

In my sphere of applied science, that is not the case. Having tenure allows us to take much larger risks than our colleagues working in industry.

Having tenure allows one to ignore some risks, as the job is safe.
