This is my 1000th post!

This is my 1000th post! Well, counting the old fora, but it took me a long time to get here. I first registered in 2008, although I had been reading the fora since 2006.

One thousand posts might not feel like an accomplishment to the faster posters among us, but it does to me, so I'm throwing myself an old-fashioned 1000th-post fora party. There used to be fora parties all the time, and people would bring delicious virtual snacks. There were also lots of running in-jokes, most of which I've forgotten.

So my virtual snack offering will be fresh pains au chocolat (or chocolatines if you're a francophone Canadian, or chocolate croissants if you're not a French-speaker at all). We have an amazing French bakery up the street, and they're still hot — the chocolate is still melted!

It's been a long semester, and we ain't done yet, so come enjoy the fun and games!

In belated honor of pi day I have brought pies-- strawberry rhubarb, pumpkin and dutch apple. With ice cream of course, and some sharp cheddar for those who like it with their apple pie.

I'm in worse shape.  Been on the fora since 2006, I think - even before the "new" format.  I don't think I've made 500 posts yet.
