[added] I knew Rocky Boyd years ago, but no one seems to know where he went. He toured with Miles Davis in the early 1960's but they never recorded. If they had, his career would have turned out better.

So, the reason this goes in the rock collection? The melody comes from the third movement (Adagio) from Symphony No. 2 by Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff. Of course Leonard Feather wrote the bridge, and gets the ASCAP.
