Today I apply for the dummy search for my job, and do some book sectioning.

Done!

Yay! p.s. what's a dummy search?

It's a fake search. My work here triggered the creation of a permanent position. It will be given to me, but the department first has to run a "competitive" search to fill it. I will win the "competition", however.

Today, I work in a new book section and have a quick look at my July R&R.
I know it's a genus.

Got in 1000 words, which is the most I've managed since the hatchling hatched.

I must continue book sectioning today.

Grades are due in a couple of days, so research is coming back to the top of my agenda after a couple of weeks completely away from it. Here are my May goals:

  • Work on polishing up paper #1 in preparation for first submission to a journal
  • Work on polishing up paper #2 in preparation for first submission to a journal
  • Start working through data that my RAs have spent the last six months or so collecting
  • Start outlining new paper with senior colleague
  • Identify a new project to start working on - preferably something solo

I must continue book sectioning today.

Forgot I had an IRB proposal to review, so didn't get there today.

M.
Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.

Reprove not a scorner, lest they hate thee: rebuke the wise, and they will love thee.

Give instruction to the wise, and they will be yet wiser: teach the just, and they will increase in learning.

Parasaurolophus

Nothing today, I'm afraid. Busy day of other things ahead.
I know it's a genus.

Parasaurolophus

Yesterday's plan is today's: work on that anew book section!
I know it's a genus.

Made decent progress! Should manage to finish this by the end of the month.

Parasaurolophus

More of the same today. I'd like to finish this section with one more day's work, after today.
