My institution gives three working days between last exam day and when final grades must be submitted. Graduation ceremonies happen in weekend between these dates.

A few of us are advocating for longer. I'm interested in hearing how long you get at your institution?

I have to submit final semester grades no later than seven days after the final exam day, and if I don't make it by then, I have to physically go into the Office of the Dean and fill out paper forms. I've never had to do this because the thought of physically going into the Office of the Dean, the week after Finals Week, just makes me want to hurl.

For the regular semester, it's usually about one week after the last day of exams. For the summer sessions, it's 24 hours after the last day of class (which is the day of the exam).
I know it's a genus.

We have three working days between the last final exam day and the day grades are due (regular semester).

Our department wants final grades in 24 hours after we give a final exam. The College gives everyone a week, but our department wants them in sooner. Now, this doesn't always happen...

48 hours after the final exam ends for the class (so if your final exam is Monday, you should have grades in by Wednesday).

Yeah, we had 72 hours. Pretty typical.

Of course, I never complained, and always said the grades can be ready in 10 minutes -- just tell me what you want.
That's not even wrong!

Finals ended Friday, May 7. Grades are due Monday, May 10. My final exams get shorter and shorter with each passing year, but I teach in an area where I can do that.

We have 48 hours after the final exam is over.
I never look back, darling. It distracts from the now.

My goodness, I didn't realize quite how good we have it where I work -- we have ten working days, which translates to two calendar weeks. (And if your exam is right before winter break, you could have until mid-January by the time ten working days have passed.)

I would have to change dramatically the type of exam I give if I had such a short time. I prefer essays, but a typical third-year course here will have 120 people. If I had three days, we'd be doing multiple choice.

My university doesn't have a set timeline for turnaround. However, I've just looked at their overarching exam schedule. Final grades are due 72 hours after the last scheduled final exam slot (but over a weekend). Grades for graduating seniors are due 22 hours before that last scheduled exam slot. So while I have 5-7 days to submit final grades based on when my classes meet, some of my colleagues may need to submit final grades before their scheduled finals (!?).

Technically we have 72 hours from our scheduled final exam time.

I have never met anyone who adheres to that rule.

Ours are due the Monday morning after finals week.  I am just now crunching the last numbers.

We have about 36 hours from the very last exam until senior grades are due.  I don't think I've ever had that combination, though.  When I gave an exam really late in the exam period, it was usually freshmen so I didn't need to submit grades until almost a week later.

One year, the administration sent all faculty an email during finals about how horrified they were that so few grades had been turned in yet.  It was several days before the deadline, and some of us hadn't even given our finals yet.  I was not amused.

Finals end Friday.
Commencement on Saturday
Final grades due on Monday.

Seriously.
