I got all of my grading done today and had a nice conversation with the book chapter coauthor virtually - we were meeting for the first time and the other no showed (then I texted hu and found out hu was consulting out of state, random). We assigned ourselves and the absent author to what needsto be edited and now have a plan moving forward.

One of my student researchers dropped off the materials hu scanned today, but I was meeting with another student and could not give hu anything else at the time.

Tomorrow I am excited to connect with my former student to finalize copyedits on our article!

It's a day for integration and de-fragmentation.

Managed a decent bit.

I probably won't have time today, but if I do, then more of this.

The article copyedits are done! It was great to catch up with the former student too. Hu was very excited to write a short author biography at the end of the piece for hu's first publication!

Today I'll try to finesse a conclusion for C3.

Going to try to double up on editing the Intro and typing in Chapter 1 notes.

Also integrate the Ppt info and finish it.

The medieval article shouldn't take much work either.

Famous last words, of course, but I'm hoping to have some progress by Thanksgiving; will have to plan some end-of-October goals as waypoints.

Today I'll try to finesse a conclusion for C3.

I stitched some bits together and slapped together a conclusion which concludes.

I also had a quick look at Collaboration 2, which has languished post-rejection for a while. I added ~300 words I've been meaning to add, and started tweaking a little in light of the last set of comments. My coauthor and I have decided on the next four journals we'll submit it to, so I think I can get this back out the door by the end of the month.

Attended an online-presentation on the topic I'm working on that was horribly jejune.

So at least I know there's a need for what I'm doing!!!
