Dark chocolate Mallo Cups. I love dark chocolate. I love Mallo Cups. But the combination of dark chocolate and sweet marshmallow ruins both for me.

Peanut M&Ms aren't the worst, but they're bad. M&Ms should melt in my mouth, but those peanuts don't.

The crispy M&Ms were really disappointing, I think they are just too small to get the textural feel of rice crispy-ness.
Now almond and peanut butter M&Ms I can't buy or I'll eat the entire bag...
Also, whoppers are super gross.

This thread has just passed the "Best candy" thread by a page.

We seem to be passionate about candy here...

My department sets out a large bowl of assorted candies for majors: M and Ms, Twix, Almond Joys, etc.

After students ravage the bowl, Snickers remain, for weeks. We literally can't give them away.

Snickers are the abject of the candy world.

Wow, I consider Snickers definitely a Tier 1 candy.

Snickers are popular, but somehow they do seem to get over-supplied sometimes.

That really cheap stuff give out at Halloween.  It is like some kind of hard brown taffy and is wrapped in black and orange wax paper.

What, with the white centers?

I've gone through periods of liking and not liking it.

Haven't seen it in orange and black wrappers, though, that must be more recent.

Snickers are better frozen. The best is when they are frozen and you let them sit out at room temperature so the outside is soft but the inside is still a little hard. That's when it becomes Tier 1, IMHO.

I like Whoppers. At least, I like the first few. More than five is blah. More than ten is yucky. This is good, as I never overeat Whoppers.

Don't like malt. Tastes like chalk.

No, I don't think they had white centers.  This would have been around 1980.

Peanut butter kisses? I think they are nasty, but then I don't like any sweet peanut-flavored things, so I'm clearly not the target audience.

I feel like they suffer from generic-candy-itis, what with their plain wrappers and lack of brand name recognition. But I quite like those.

Ruralguy

They are probably made by a "real" candy maker like Hershey, but Hershey or whomever would probably rather not have their name associated with a generic candy that a lot of people don't like.
