Yeah, they're not a particularly heavy-hitter in my field either. I guess you have to have a particularly compelling reason to stay in South Carolina if you're able to write your own ticket.

As others have noted, this is still pending legislation. For examples of other silly legislation that has been proposed within various states, just google "pi equals 3". There is no end of idiocy in state legislatures.
