Not likely to have much time today, but I'll section if I can. First, though, I have marking to do.

Marked and dealt with more parental leave crap. Iread a short thing for a section, and I don't have the energy for more today.
I know it's a genus.

My goals this month:

Conference paper:

  • Finish draft
  • Revise draft
  • Finish handout
Dissertation:

  • Chapter 1: begin revising
  • Chapter 2: 4,000 more words (for ~8,500 total)
  • Chapter 3: read some of primary source V

I finished the draft. It's rough, but it exists. I found out today that, since I'm presenting remotely, I'll need to record my presentation two weeks in advance of the actual panel. I was hoping to let it sit for at least a week, but I may not have that luxury now.

Parasaurolophus

I had a brief window of opportunity today, so I wrote 300 words of a new book section.
I know it's a genus.

Got another page of notes checked and highlit corrections made.

Did more work on transferring info from slides to book chapters.

Saved more photos and started organizing another trip's folders.

I have been checking the journal web site every day since the article was to be published in November, and alas, it came out today! My former student has hu's very first publication, over four years after we began the study. Hu is thrilled! Yay!

Does the timing still work for your inclusion of that citation on your current CV/T&P submission?

(Or at least, I thought there was something like that riding on it as well....)

I am sure the past few years blend together! I found out I got promoted and tenured in March 2020, just in time for all parties to be cancelled. This article is special because of the former student's perseverance, though!

Trying for another page of notes to be corrected, filled in, and cited.

The Ppt continues to net interest; will need to reply to some helpful emails about plans, etc.

Student at 5 PM, so end-game at 4/4.30.

Book sectioning today.

Wrote 600 or so words, touching up an old section and adding to a new one.

Also more newsletter work, which I forgot about.
I know it's a genus.

I got IRB approval yesterday in under six hours for the new study, which is really quite impressive for expedited (not exempt)! I submitted the approved study and accompanying documents to the organization for review so I can get the solicitation email to its listserv soon.

Parasaurolophus

Wow, that is indeed fast--even for delegated reviews, it nrormally takes us a few days to get everyone sorted out!

Book sectioning and last of the newslettering today.
I know it's a genus.

Book sectioning and last of the newslettering today.

300 words on one--should finish the section in a day or two--and wrapped up the second.
I know it's a genus.

Got another page's notes corrected.

More to do.

Folk dance now.

I worked on some book chapter edits today.
