I seem to be stuck and wanting to rest in my laurels, miniscule as they be, today.

Time to teach soon.

Tomorrow...

Submitted two more conference proposals today (different conference than Friday's submission). I reviewed them yesterday for the lead author.

Working on this new section today. Finishing it is within reach if I'm lucky and get a little more time than usual.

I very much had no luck: I got about half an hour of time today. I wrote a few hundred words, but that's not enough. Hopefully I can finish it tomorrow. Sigh.
I know it's a genus.

Do we (i.e., 2. Pl., you and I) perchance have the 'January blahs'?

I certainly feel blah, but I think it has more (or more immediately) to do with a hatchling who can't nap for tooth pain and the stuffy nose it's caused.

Hopefully I can finish the section this morning... It's not looking promising, however.

I got back into the swing a bit with one paragraph's worth of "sorting out my notes to myself and saying something that I'll have to re-work later, but at least it's a start."

I'm going to see if I can do a second paragraph like that, and then turn to the conference abstract due the 15th.

Oh, and I had an insight about mounting the Ppt this AM that might be worth trialing...

Teaching at 4:30.

Did the second para, did some work on the abstract and started designing a Ppt layout (always the most fun....color is so great to play with!).

Teaching prep next.

Done, though it took some doing. Only had the energy to do a tiny bit of the next section, however.

Well, gonna do a spot of reading for this next section, and start writing it.

Did some complementary reading for the article, and pondered some comparisons I'd started...keep, or not? Hmm...

Did student prep for one lesson, more to do on that.

Need to do more with the conference abstract, did add a few bits here and there, time to distill it down to final form.

A couple work-y forms to do, still, don't wanna, gotta, as usual.

late to the party but I need to get organized/motivated here. . .

  • CPS R&R- draft cover letter with co-authors, do actual R'ring when they respond
  • MA student #1's R&R- get her feedback on cover letter
  • PhD student 1 & 2's R&R- feedback on drafts as they work on revisions
  • Final steps for grant due 2/5: update biosketch, update budget, proof and finalize refs, consortium docs
  • PhD student 3's 1st year proposal-- keep working with her on drafts
  • MA student 2's thesis proposal-- keep working with him on drafts
  • Reviewing: fellowship, DPP-1, DPP-2, CPR

Yikes.

Read two and wrote about 900 words. Two more days should see me through, though Friday will be a writeoff.

I'll get as close to finishing this section as I can.
