February Goals

  • Work with colleague and student on manuscript revision to submit to a new journal
  • Continue working on long-term project with students
  • Finish interviews with participants for new study tied to conference proposal submitted for summer convention
  • Finalize manuscript revision with subfield colleague and resubmit to journal by deadline in February

Stretch Goal

  • Start working on fun commentary piece with two colleagues

Submitted the revision in 13 days, even though I was originally stressed to only get 30 for it. I hope it can get accepted and published in 2022!

I have a long meeting which will interfere, but I'd like to more or less finish this section today.

Done! ~750 words, and four articles read. I didn't do the world's best job, but whatever.
I know it's a genus.

Parasaurolophus

Mostly just gonna read for the next section today.
I know it's a genus.

Got a summary of work and expectations 2/3 done for my IT helper, more to do tomorrow....

Teaching prep now, class at 4:30, New Yorker crossword after that will be the most my brain cells will be able to handle after that...

Mostly just gonna read for the next section today.

Read six and a half articles. Not bad.
I know it's a genus.

Parasaurolophus

I want to finish the section Monday, so today, I just need to do more of the reading.
I know it's a genus.

  • Revise book chapter based on comments from editor

Stretch goal:
  • Start thinking through book proposal #2

Crossing one task off and adding another.

Found 4 online MSs, copied and compared, better background for the thorny section.

More to do, but better context now.

Only wrote 300 words, and only read half an article because my day was co-opted. Oh well.

I can one-up you! I wrote 200 words today. But I'm telling myself that progress is progress . . .
