Parasaurolophus

Finishing the section today, and starting a new one. Gotta try to catch up with my production schedule!
I know it's a genus.

Ancient Fellow

Hammering away at Next Monograph!

- incorporate remaining author
- polish this three-chapter section of the book (1st of 3)
- submit with proposal to selected publishers

Mid-point of the month.

I'm getting behind, too.

Arrggghhhh!!

(But making more progress today: going after the little yellow and green highlit splotches that represent lookups and bib refs to fill in...working backwards, footnotes first, just to mix it up a bit...so that's to the good...)

DDouble posst, to ssay: 1 whole page of footnotes has been reduced to nothingness, simply by astute editing.

And there's only a paragraph left to go in clearing up some text in the end of the article, so...hopes exist...

Unexpected surprise of the day: I had an article published today!

Well done you!

Won't get much done today.
I know it's a genus.

I used most of my planned writing time arranging the Ukranian National Anthem for a student whose family is from there.

I did get time to find some unexpected online resources in the 15 min. between finishing the arrangement and starting lessons, though, and they will be very useful in filling in some of the yellow and green fact-checking splotches I'm going after at present.

So, useful and good things happened, in any case.

Hoping to manage more today, especially in the reading department. But this stuff is so. Dull.
I know it's a genus.

March Goals

  • Finalize rejected manuscript with colleague and student to submit to target journal
  • Keep working on long-term project with student research assistants
  • Complete review of manuscript for journal
  • Make progress on conference presentation and manuscript for new study recently completed with colleague and former student

Stretch Goals

  • Work on "fun" commentary piece with colleague, consider for conference proposal due in April
  • Possibly work on conference proposal due in April for long-term project
  • Start on new project with superstar research team (was invited to join)

Today I cleaned up transcripts for the new study (each of my coauthors selected the ones they wanted so I did the remaining ones). I also started brainstorming more for my "fun" commentary piece and also re-read the literature I had collected for it.
