Gotta finish my taxes, and try to finish this section.

Did 'em both.
I know it's a genus.

Last night's presentation went well, now back to the article and the Ppt.

Gotta write an REB report, and start the next section.

I went to use the reserved computer for specific software I need for the long-term project, but the software required a login this time and no one had a clue how to login. The IT staff were not available of course, and neither was our administrator whose office I was in who is letting me reserve this computer. I had to give up two hours I had scheduled for this today that I had blocked off for a long time, so I am frustrated. However, I still am meeting tonight with my coauthors on the rejected manuscript so hopefully I will advance one project today.

It's the maddening little things....very sorry that happened.

I got tiny bits done on the article, and found some things from a couple of files from a very long time ago that may be useful with the Ppt.

I don't care whatever Marie-whatever-her-name-says, you do not feel lighter by getting rid of academic materials, you feel lighter by having what you need when you need it, from the sources you remember saving because you knew sometime you'd need it.

That is all.

Student shortly. Folk dance later.

Read the application, wrote the report, and read five articles. Whew!
I know it's a genus.

Had a really good meeting with my coauthors who are motivated to finish up our rejected manuscript in the next few weeks. I also got a R&R today with two other colleagues. Feedback is really helpful so that is looking like a good sign!

Parasaurolophus

A little newslettering today, plus lots of sectioning. I'd like to finish it tomorrow.

A bit late, but here are my goals for this month:

  • Finish prospectus (wasn't I supposed to have done that last month? Or was it the month before?)
  • Address advisor's comments on Chapter 2 (nothing major; the draft was very well received)
  • Read primary sources by author P for Chapter 3
  • Read secondary literature on author P
I have spent substantially less time in the primary sources for Chapter 3 than I had for Chapters 1 and 2. I hope to begin writing Chapter 3 by this summer and finish drafting it by the end of this calendar year. If I then wrote the introduction next spring, I just might be able to have a draft of the full dissertation by May 2023, revise over the following academic year, and graduate in May 2024. Light, tunnel, and all that . . .

mamselle

Excellent news that they liked the submitted work. That's always a plus!

I did indeed do more fact-checking on the article, and started more primary source work for the Ppt/article in process.

Thank goodness Pauly-Wissova and the DACL are all online.

Now, if only ALL the DACL volumes were in the SAME online format, instead of having three in Gallica and four in Hathi Trust, and so on.

At least I can download some of the ones I need, which are in their .pdf version, and annotate them.

Student 1 just finished; student 2 up next...

A little newslettering today, plus lots of sectioning. I'd like to finish it tomorrow.

I had very little time today, unfortunately, because the hatchling hardly napped. I squeezes in 500 words and three articles, but I really needed another hour or so to get where I wanted to be.

I want to finish this section today. It'll be tough, though.

More footnotes cleaned up, more text in order.

Like.
