Today, I'll make sure my references are consistently formatted, and see about cuts (and maybe one or two additions)...

Managed the references and some big cuts. So much more needs doing, though, and I've not been lucky with time these last few days.
I know it's a genus.

1. Get 2 tables from previous paper, fold 'em in.
2. Sort out 2 most objectionable writers' statements, put up quotes, draft contextualized critique, add honey, and stir...
3. Get all extraneous slides OUT!
4. Do a run-through as-is, remove more slides, do a timed reading, tweak text, and edit.
5. Wash, rinse, repeat, and send out slide pack.
6. Go through text again, change p.r.n., but hove tightly to slides.

Might just do it...

Gotta do some writing today. Maybe the acknowledgements, intro, and a part intro or two.
I know it's a genus.

Arggh.

Going through the previous paper to do no. 1. made me realize how much of that paper really foregrounds this, and I can't include all those slides in this presentation, much as they would make the point very well.

OK, gotta slog through. Onwards....5 min. break to get some parallax, and then back into the fray.

Wrote the acknowledgements and intro, added to some sections, cut from several others. So much more to do!

4. Do a run-through as-is, remove more slides, do a timed reading, tweak text, and edit.  - Started, finish this aft.
5. Wash, rinse, repeat, and send out slide pack.                                                                        - Tonight after teaching
6. Go through text again, change p.r.n., but hove tightly to slides.                                          - Ditto

Getting there, now or never.

Making three small additions to two sections, and writing at least two part intros, preferably three. Making some cuts would be good, too.
I know it's a genus.

Forgive my disappearance the past few days. I got a R&R with minor edits yesterday and did most of the edits today! My friend who is first author just needs to edit a few minor things and we can get this in before it is due in late May. I am a little frustrated with my coauthors on the revision due next week. They said I would not get the manuscript to revise until the day before it is due. That is very frustrating as I am still wrapping up the Spring semester so I have barely any time to work on it. My other revision with my subfield colleague is due the week after so I am trying to get to that this weekend since I am low on time during the week. This is definitely a first for me to have three revisions due in one month, but I suppose that is also very exciting.

Made the additions, wrote two intros, made some cuts (but not enough). One last push tomorrow.

I just wanted to say how much I love annotated bibliographies, and how much of a service they can be to a research community in assessing where it is and what its next best steps might be.

I didn't recall for a bit that that was what you were working on, I do think you said at some point, before, but your assiduity and careful organization will indeed prove useful, I'm sure.

Good for you for rounding the bend to the finish line!

Yeah, they're quite uncommon in my field, but having now annotated some 500 sources, I can see how useful they are.

But holy crap, what a pain!

Today: three part intros, more cuts.
I know it's a genus.

mamselle

OK, paper done, went decently.

Back to the article, the other Ppt, the book review and the other article.

But maybe I'll take the rest of the afternoon off....

I've stayed up way too late, but I did it all and sent it in. Whew!

Predictably, final formatting and compiling the table of contents took forever.

WOW!

On time, under budget (maybe?) Impressive!!!

Ya done good.
