Thank you all for the encouragement and camaraderie and good luck on your continuing productivity! I hope to check in once a day or every couple of days, as schedule allows, and hopefully, to cross things off and cheer you on!

Congrats, darkstarrynight! Well done!

May:

Finish the overdue piece.
Figure out a reasonable summer plan once the grading is done.
Finish spending the grant money.
Meet with collaborator 1 (ongoing) & deal with meeting notes

And now there's a new June deadline.

And the August project deadline that I forgot about (and have forgotten again what this was?)

Maybe a proposal for a conference, or not.

Go to the library for June deadline

Events permitting, I will finish the chapter revisions today.

May goals (in order of importance):

  • Finish revising paper #1 with colleague and submit to journal
  • Finish and submit NSF grant proposal
  • Get paper #2 off the ground
  • Spend some time sifting through data collected over the last year and figure out what to do with it. Use to polish paper #3 and/or to start working on a book proposal. If the former, then resubmit paper#3
  • Chat with respective colleagues about if/how to move paper #s 4 and 5 forward
  • Quickly revise and submit rejected manuscript
  • Make updates to book chapter following minor comments from editor

Stretch goals:

  • IRB for new project (if funding request is approved sooner than later, then this moves up the priority list)
  • Deal with any rejections or R&Rs that come my way (if rejections/R&Rs do come, then this moves up the priority list)

May Goals (besides maintaining warm weather please)

  • Finalize rejected manuscript with student and colleague and submit to different outlet
  • Analyze data from new study and work on presentation for June conference
  • Create presentation for May conference
  • Continue working on long-term project in preparation for my sabbatical focused on it this Fall
  • Finalize revision due this week
  • Finalize revision due next week
  • Finalize revision due in three weeks

Last night my colleague and I submitted our "immediate minor revisions clean publishable version" so I am hoping that gets an official "accept" decision soon. At this very moment, my colleague is submitting the previously rejected manuscript which I cut down 1,500 words from last night and had to wait for my former student to choose hu's affiliation (my institution or hu's new doctoral institution). I am so relieved to have all of this done so I can focus on my sabbatical research project now.

PS: thank you Nightshade!

mamselle

Wow, you've got nearly everything lined out!!!

Magazine article away with photos.

Need to refocus on creative and academic projects now.

Your Winter-garment of Repentance fling:
The Bird of Time has but a little way
To flutter--and the Bird is on the Wing.

A done. Lunch done.
Skipping review for article B work; I'm in writing/editing mode more than reading right now.
