We'll see what time permits, but I guess I should start on that book review while I remember the book. Ugh.
I know it's a genus.

September goals:

  • Make progress on paper #1 with colleague
  • Complete draft of paper #2 with colleague (conference paper due in about a week)
  • Revise and submit paper #3 with colleague to new journal
  • Revise and submit paper #4 with colleagues to new journal (lots of foot dragging on colleague's end, so not sure we'll get this one submitted, even though necessary revisions are modest)
  • Revise (solo) paper #5 for resubmission (due back to journal in late October)

Finally closed a 'logic loop' that had been plaguing me. At least now everything is in the right order.

More sifting, distilling, and squeezing can now ensue.

Well, I started. And I cut my grant proposal to the requisite three pages. I'll send it for the Dean's signature Monday.

Parasaurolophus

I suppose today I'll get some more book reviewing done.

More tightening, despite an unhappy tummy (something I et).

Two hours on, one hour rest, but at least another couple of pages will be in good shape.

OK, back into the weeds.

Total of 4 better and 2 more almost-better paragraphs.

Not a bad day's haul.

Stuff to do now, hopefully time later to get more editing and clean-up done.

Submitted the grant to the Dean and the committee, wrote about 300 words, did some class stuff, and put together a new syllabus.

Forging ahead.

M.

Got 1/2 page done, could have done more if I'd known my student was going to be a ghost today...

All's well for tomorrow and finishing up, though.
