Sent book Manuscript to the Press. Did not get a positive response. I will continue to search on this side of the Atlantic for another week ro so before going back to European presses where my first book was published.

For October going back to ten year old notes for an article that have been waiting for me. This is the last open research project that I have. In October I plan to:

Read through two books concerning the theoretical framework I will use.
Read through the primary sources I collected in the past ten years.
Search through the indexes for the

Finish troublesome chapter 5 of Next Monograph. I know that last month I described chapter 4 this way. Yes, it's becoming a theme.

Lodestone Edited Collection has at last been sent out for review by a uni press.

Finish Research Fellowship Applications built around proposed Controversial Monograph.

A few fact-checks done, more tomorrow.

Today I will finish the January reading and start on some other 2023 commitment.

I've just added another, unfortunately, so maybe I should figure that out...

Read the reading, finished the preliminary index, and did some thinking about my new commitment. Then I finished reading another thing, and drafted a cover letter for the job app.

Depending on how many free hands I have today, either reading or an attempt to do some writing--probably re-jigging my panel presentation, but we'll see.

Nice detour, asked to do a short talk on dance history today for the folks I was fussing about two days ago.

Just have to be diplomatic, clear, and collegial.

Oh, joy...but really, in a way. Glad to be asked.

Had two free hands so reworked the panel talk a bit. But then I remembered a faculty-wide meeting, so that was that. Sigh.

Detour was worth it, the discussion afterwards went wacky again.

Oh, well. (See venting thread, again, as well...)

I did manage to figure out what to do for my new 2023 commitment. It involves a fair bit of recycling and minimal reworking, so that's good.

Not sure about today. I guess I should continue rejigging my talk. When my hands aren't free, this afternoon, I'll find something 2023-relevant to read.
